I am a writer, researcher and arts manager. In 2024, I will complete my PhD in practice-led research in creative writing with a focus on eco-autobiographical personal essays. In 2024, I was awarded the Jennifer Strauss Fellowship for Humanities by Australian Graduate Women, an Ian Potter Emerging Artist Grant and the joint Roderick HDR Postgraduate Scholarship. In 2022, I was awarded the William Thomas Williams Postgraduate Scholarship for a creative scholar.
Previously, I worked in arts management roles for The Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas, the Emerging Writers’ Festival, Castlemaine Art Museum, The Australian Audio Guide and was a co-founding editor of digital publication and writing collective Lor Journal —which was selected by Creative Partnerships Australia to receive an Australian Cultural Fund matched funding boost, and was selected for the National Library of Australia’s archives and now features in the library’s Reading Room.
I have also worked on projects and on partnerships with the National Gallery of Victoria, the Institute of Modern Art, Vision Australia, Renew Org and many prominent arts organisations in Victoria and Australia.
My work has been published nationally and internationally, and short and long listed for a number of awards and prizes. I have studied writing in Melbourne, Paris and Montreal, and received a number of grants and scholarships for my work.
I also work as a freelance copywriter, mainly for arts organisations and not-for-profits, and have written for places such as The Guardian Labs, Arts Hub and the University of Melbourne. Contact me for rates on grant writing, engaging copy writing, and policy writing.
