Aotearoa/New Zealand

It 2024 I was awarded a JCU Competitive Funding Grant to travel to Aotearoa/ New Zealand and conduct research on two essays: one on melting glaciers and one on weather diaries.

I collaborated with glaciologist at the Antarctica Research Centre, Dr Lauren Vargo on an essay which is forthcoming in RMIT’s nonfiction/Lab & Landfall’s (Otago University Press) ‘Making Space’ series.

I also worked with archival material at the Akaroa Museum, granted first access to a collection of rare weather diaries kept in the area in the early 1900s.
